Position Overview:
The Medicare Product Analyst is key in supporting the analytical team by conducting market intelligence research, monitoring vendor performance, and analyzing benefit utilization to enhance Medicare product offerings. This role involves gathering and interpreting data to provide insights that drive product development and strategic decision-making. The analyst will create detailed benefit analyses, assess competitive market trends, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize plan design and performance. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market intelligence and research to determine competitive and market dynamics.
- Support product development and strategy by creating benefit recommendation analyses/packages and presentations at the direction of leadership.
- Develop complex reporting to support benefit oversight capabilities and ensure performance standards meet all Plan, State, and CMS audits and Star requirements.
- Assist with quality review of plan materials, including Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), Evidence of Coverage (EOC), benefit grids, Plan Benefit Package (PBP), member and sales presentations, etc.
- Maintain direct relationships with outside consultants/vendors to support products and benefits.
- Ensure the accuracy and validity of both source data and results, interpreting results into actionable recommendations.
- Present findings to business customers, both internal and external.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or equal experience in business analytics
- 3 or more years of previous business analytics or product experience in the healthcare industry, with Medicare experience preferred.
Other Skills:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and recommend solutions, including clearly communicating problems and solutions to all levels of an organization.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail to support proofreading and reviews for data accuracy.
- Proficiency with Office software applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel).
